  • Keeping Up My Energy Levels During Workouts

I’m always looking for ways to maximize my workout. I’ve discovered what works for me time wise isn’t the most efficient body-wise. A mid afternoon workout is my best scheduled time but it is in the morning that my body co-operates the best.

I’ve analyzed my routine and found that short bursts of aerobic exercise between weights gives me maximum benefits as well as breaking up the “sameness” of it all.

The biggest obstacle that I have been working on is keeping my energy level up throughout the entire workout. After all, what is a workout if it’s not working out?

I’ve always had a healthy and hearty breakfast and followed fitness advice to drink plenty of fluids (16 – 20 oz) a couple of hours before my workout. However, I found that 30 minutes into the workout my energy level went way down. It wasn’t just tiredness either.

I even experimented with a little snack of fruit about 30 minutes before to keep my blood sugar levels up. This helped a little.

What has really made the difference is drinking a juice made from a green fruit called TAHITIAN NONI® Juice. I’ve read that marathon runners, surfing champions and professional athletes drink it for energy and for after competition recovery. There must be something to it.

I discovered it really does work! I followed the directions on the bottle, drinking 1 oz of TAHITIAN NONI® Juice first thing in the morning. But I found that if I drink another 1 oz about an hour before my workout it made a significant difference. If I workout every day of the week I will drink 2 oz in the morning on the heavier workout day and then 1 oz the next day (my lighter workout day). The 2 oz does give me a quicker recovery time. My muscles aren’t as sore and I don’t feel as spent.

All in all, I’m satisfied. Discovering the right time to workout (when possible), the best workout routine for me, the right type and amount of food to eat and drinking TAHITIAN NONI® Juice for energy and recovery has pushed me forward in results. I’m starting to reach the goals I once only dreamed about.

  • How Specific Body Movements Can Result in Sleep Problems

There are plenty of reasons behind a lack of sleep. But two of them have to do when someones arms and legs start to twitch uncontrollably. This happens when they are trying to fall asleep or after they have fallen asleep the twitching and jerking of their limbs stirs them from their sleep.

This uncomfortable state can be either Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) or Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMB).

Below are a few facts about both of these disorders along with some valuable information on how to treat them if you suspect one of these may be the cause of your sleeples nights.

Restless Leg Syndrome: This is an uncomfortable sleeping related issue where your legs and arms can twitch quite violently or your legs are so uncomfortable with charlie-horse like feelings that the only way to alleviate the pain or discomfort is by shifting them around. By adjusting your legs it eradicates the bad feeling or discomfort. However once you start to relax again or try to fall asleep, the sensation returns.

A person knows if they suffer from RLS if they noticed a sudden urge to move their legs or because they feel jittery, a burning sensation or like a strange feeling as if something is moving along their legs. This could happen while resting on your back or sitting in a chair and if you move your legs and these odd feelings go away, then the chances are high that you suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome.

Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (or Syndrome): This is when your legs and/or your arms involuntarily move about while you are sleeping. Sometimes a person awakens when this happens and if someone else is also in the bed, it could result in them having a restless night also. Often people with RLS also suffer from PLMD.

Periodic Limb Movement Disorder occurs at irregular times throughout one’s life and can happen to both young and old. However it is predominantly an older adult affliction. There are two types of PLMD, primary and secondary.

Like with any sleep disorder you can of course help get a better nights sleep by trying over the counter sleeping pills.

  • Do you strive for Sixpack Abs?

Anyone with a sense for good looks who wants to improve his or her looks will try to get better defined abs.

some people are trying everything to get a six pack abdominals (short: sixpack abs) and quite often nothing is happening. But how can one know what gets you nearer to your goal? How can you distinguish good six pack exercises and bad six pack exercises? There are 3 main things many people rely on that are not so effective at all:

First: An exercise you should avoid is the standard sit up. It is harmful your lower back what really disqualifies it… and it only works a few of your abdominal muscles so to avoid it is a real no brainer.

Number two: Crunches. Some call the crunch a scaled down version of the sit up and it surely puts less strain on your lower back. Nevertheless I don’t count it to to the best six pack training exercises. Why? Only your upper abs (mainly) are mainly properly trained, it does more or less nothing for the lower abs and what is missing, too, is a proper range of motion to really work your abs effectively. Third, it is still not totally harmless for your back and neck.

Number three: Don’t think about buying any of the funny gimmicks that you see on TV. Those guys are marketing geniuses who will say their product will put you in proper training positions if you just hand them enough bucks, but they are all junk. All you really need is a set of proven six pack exercises and the proper training + nutrition advice.

“The Truth About Six Pack Abs” is an abdominal fitness program by Mike Geary, Personal Trainer and certified Nutrition Specialist. The program has sixpack abs at its focus and includes effective full body routines, and a nutrition plan to get rid of fat around both your waist and your body in genearal. That being said, it’s not for you if you are looking for fitness short cuts. This program works, but it takes effort.

But up to now this product was only available in english language. Recently the ebook has been translated to german (“Die Wahrheit über Bauchmuskeln“)

If you speak german and want to learn more about muscles in general have a look at www.muskulatur.net There are sections for each of the big muscle groups (e.g. Rückenmuskulatur). General topics are covered like how muscle grows and what function which type of muscle has.
