Restaurant Catering Venues For Your Next Event
Organizing any major social event can be fraught with challenges and difficulties, but the process can be made a whole lot simpler by holding it at restaurant catering venues. Hosting an event requires a lot of thought and planning and if you simply don’t want to deal with all the hassles and headache of feeding a large army of people, restaurant catering venues can make your life a lot easier.
Holding an event at restaurant catering venues will usually require signing a catering contract that covers all the requirements you will have from the specific venue. Details such as what is in the menu, how the table will be set, what decorations will be used, any wholesale catering equipment that is needed, and virtually any thing else that ensures the success and smooth flow of your event will be covered in the contract.
Most of the larger restaurant catering venues can offer a fairly comprehensive menu range. Nevertheless, you may run into situations wherein you will want to alter the menu a bit, either to accommodate certain dietary restrictions or religious requirements. If you find that the menu in the restaurant catering venues you are considering requires too much modification, you may want to find a service that is closer to what you had in mind. This will help you reduce the fees that you may have to pay for extensive menu modifications.
Even then, you may be pleasantly surprised to find that most of the established restaurant catering venues will be equipped to handle most typical needs. Ask the company if they can offer a traditional menu or more gourmet offerings. You may find that one single company can accommodate most of your catering needs.
Remember to make allowances in your budget for the cost of the staff. Some restaurant catering venues will charge individually for this, with the typical rates coming in at around $20 or less, with a 4-hour required minimum. Some companies may charge slightly higher or lower, depending on the event size, the guest count, the menu, and various other factors.
A good way to make sure that the food is to your specification is by asking for a taste test. Most restaurant catering venues typically allow this for up to 8 people, and this is a great way to make sure that the food is up to your taste and quality standards. Taste tests are generally offered for free along with the catering package, and many restaurant catering venues even offer items that aren’t normally listed on the menu.
For any large or special event that requires catering jobs, you may want to consider your options in restaurant catering venues.

What is on my mind today
Today I wanna write a little bit of my latest thoughts:
Although my last vacation is now already a few months ago, I sometimes still think of it, as it really was a once in a lifetime trip to Australia You can read about it in my travel blog. It is a german blog but most of the articles are already translated to English: Flug Australien
I like to read what I wrote there from time to time because it brings me back good memories…
One of those memories is a very special one – it was more in the end of our trip, when we were Barramundi angeln in Kakadu National Park.
This was a lot of fun, and as we had a very knowledgeable guide, it was also very educative. We learned a lot about the species in the Park, saw a lot of them from very near in their natural habitat and took a lot of great photos. Dean told us about how they live and feed, and showed us more than we could ever find if we went on ourselves.
And the last of my random thoughts for today has to do with my grandmother – to be exact with the socks she always made for me. The quality of her selfmade socks was unrivaled. But I skimmed the net a little bit and found about aother people knitting socks for example on this promising site:
This site offers info for knitting as well as about wool in general. I highly recommend it.

Intensive Vegetable Growing
The purpose of square foot gardening is to harvest the most produce possible from the space available, by growing small quantities over a longer time. This is also achieved by reducing the space between plants. To ensure you understand your garden and learn about plants you should keep a square foot garden diary to have a log of your failures and successes to improve your results.
The practice of square foot gardening is not only for those with small backyards; rather square footgardens allows you to concentrate your work effort to create an ideal plant environment, to give better yields naturally.
The are many people who like the idea of digging for victory. They enjoy the sight of long, straight rows in their gardens and the hard labor that goes with digging and hoeing the land, whilst others like machine cultivation.
Owning a square foot garden still means weeding by hand but because the raised bed is filled with vermiculite, peat and compost there are fewer weeds and they can easily be seen and removed in a few minutes.
If you like the idea of all your vegetables being ready to harvest in one go then square foot gardens are not for you. The idea of square foot gardens is to have something growing all the time so you can have fresh vegetables growing in your garden for most of the year.
To benefit you need to have a good square foot garden plan which requires to be thought out early in the year, thorough planning to make the best use of your time and space. Before you start planting, you must consider the interrelationships of plants with each other and their needs and how to protect them from bugs and insects.
Square foot gardens are based on 1.2m by 1.2m raised beds. If you have more space then the length of the bed can be increased to 12 foot. The width should not be more that 4ft so that you can easily reach the middle with out standing on the soil.
